The busiest room in the house
Kitchen Remodeling in Loganville
Fresh cabinets, new counters, brighter lighting or a better floor plan, with a temporary cooking spot ready before demolition and the rest of the downstairs kept clean.
Ask how long you'd cook elsewhere — (000) 000-0000Keeping Meals Going
Before the old cabinets come off the wall, we agree on a stand-in cooking setup for the weeks ahead, usually the refrigerator, a microwave and a sink in another room. New cabinets get ordered early, and demolition waits for their delivery date rather than the other way around.
Once work starts, plastic separates the kitchen from the house, runners protect the route to it and cleanup happens daily, so the living room never becomes a lumber yard.
Parts of a Kitchen Remodel
-
Cabinets and surfaces
New cabinets or refaced fronts, counters, backsplash and pulls, with every opening measured for the range, dishwasher and fridge you'll be using before anything is ordered.
-
Moving things around
Knocking out a wall, adding an island or shifting the sink to a better spot. Whether a wall carries load gets settled before demolition goes on the schedule.
-
Lighting and outlets
Ceiling lights, pendants and strips under the upper cabinets, plus extra circuits and outlets for the appliances you use, all handled inside the remodel.
-
Hookups
Water, drain, gas and power connections for the sink, dishwasher, range and refrigerator, relocated wherever the new layout puts them.
How the Kitchen Gets Done
-
Selections first
You pick cabinets, counters, fixtures and appliances, we place the orders, and the tear-out date is set to match when the cabinets will land.
-
Close it off, take it out
Plastic goes across every opening into the kitchen and the floors leading there get papered. Then the old cabinets and counters come out, and walls are opened only where the plan needs it.
-
Rough-in, then boxes
Pipes and wiring shift to suit the plan, the new cabinets are set and leveled, and only then is the countertop measured off the real boxes.
-
Last details, then a deep clean
Tile backsplash, light fixtures, faucet and touch-up paint finish the room. We clean the kitchen and the route to it before the plastic comes down.
Kitchen Questions We Hear Most
How long until we can cook in here again?
Several weeks for most kitchens, more when the layout changes. Counters can only be measured once the cabinets are in, so there's a short pause built into every job, and the written schedule shows it from the start.
Will the rest of the house get dusty?
Very little. Plastic seals the kitchen's openings, the floors leading in stay covered and the crew cleans up before leaving each day. Fine dust can still slip through gaps, so nearby furniture gets covered too.
